Ms. Nasreen Sattar brings more than 35 years of experience in the financial sector, with a career rooted in banking both in Bangladesh and internationally. From 2007 to 2009, she led Standard Chartered Bank’s operations in Afghanistan as Chief Executive Officer—a role that highlighted her ability to lead in a challenging setting.
She began her banking career in 1986 with ANZ Grindlays Bank in Bangladesh, where she took on leadership roles, including Head of Institutional Banking. When Standard Chartered acquired ANZ Grindlays in 2000, she continued to grow her impact through high-profile roles such as Regional Head for Development Organizations in South Asia.
Today, Ms. Sattar serves as an Independent Director on the boards of ACI Limited and ACI Formulations Limited. She recently completed her term as an Independent Director and Audit Committee Member at Mutual Trust Bank, and before that, held a similar role at IPDC Finance. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to thoughtful, principled leadership across the financial services industry.
